At 5530 metres above sea level (surpasses Lake Titicaca in the neighbouring country of Bolivia). 520 kilometres separate it from the capital of La Rioja. 2 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide, its waters reach depths of 350 metres. It is highest navigable water mirror in the world, which places La Rioja in a privileged situation in the world setting for adventure tourism.
